How does solar work
Solar panels work by converting sunlight into electricity through the photovoltaic effect. This current is captured and converted from direct current (DC) to alternating current (AC) using an inverter, and run to electronic panel for your household usage. Any extra energy not used is sent to your meter, which generates credits on your monthly power bill.
With an average of 2,396 hours of sunlight each year, Calgary is an ideal city for the use of solar energy!

Canada Greener Homes Grant:
The Canadian Government recently announced the “Canada Greener Homes Grant”, which is focused on making Canadian households more efficient. Through this grant you get $1/Watt off of your solar installation to a maximum of $5,000. This grant can also be combined with other available municipal grants.
04.
The Clean Energy Improvement Program(CEIP):
This competitive financing program allows individuals to make improvements and renewable energy upgrades to their residential or commercial properties without the upfront cost. The program will cover up to 100% of the bill and this cost is then recovered through the regular property taxes.
